Today, GANHRI and the four regional networks—the Asia Pacific Forum (APF), the European Network of National Human Rights Institutions (ENNHRI), the Network of African National Human Rights Institutions (NANHRI), and the Regional Network of National Human Rights Institutions in the Americas (RINDHCA)—are launching a joint social media campaign highlighting the crucial role of NHRIs in protecting the rights of women and girls. NHRC-CPT Lebanon is proud to join this initiative, reinforcing its commitment to gender equality and human rights.
The campaign will run from 10 February to 4 March, leading up to the GANHRI 2025 Annual Meeting, where NHRIs from around the world will convene from 10 to 12 March. This year’s Annual Conference theme is “The Human Rights of Women and Girls: Promoting Gender Equality and the Role of NHRIs.”
This initiative also aligns with two significant milestones: International Women’s Day on 8 March and the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action.
